Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla Inc., responded to accusations regarding the cancellation of a $16,000 pie order from a San Jose bakery intended for Black History Month.
Reportedly, a Tesla representative initially requested 2,000 mini pies for the occasion, which was then doubled, causing the bakery extra expenses.
Voahangy Rasetarinera, the owner of The Giving Pies, informed NBC Bay Area that the representative abruptly canceled the order, resulting in a significant financial loss for the bakery.

Following the public disclosure of the incident, Musk addressed the matter on X (formerly Twitter), stating, “Just learning about this. Will rectify the situation with the bakery.”
He emphasized, “Tesla should always strive to fulfill its commitments.”
Expressing her disappointment, Rasetarinera took to Instagram to communicate directly with Tesla, stating, “I had committed time, resources, and effort based on assurances from Tesla, only to be left in a difficult position.”
