During their podcast conversation about the Cybertruck’s bulletproof capabilities, Rogan proposed an unusual challenge to Musk: testing the truck’s durability against a hunting bow and arrow. Curiously, Musk accepted the dare, confidently wagering a mere dollar on the Cybertruck’s ability to withstand the assault.
In a spur-of-the-moment display, Rogan aimed his powerful bow at the same Cybertruck that Musk had driven to the studio. Much to their amazement, the stainless steel-bodied electric truck emerged unscathed, the arrow ricocheting off the rear door, leaving behind only a small dent and a flattened tip.
Impressed by the Cybertruck’s stainless steel door panel, Rogan marveled at how it withstood a high-speed arrow impact, noting the arrow’s incredible force and minimal damage. “We shot a 545 grain arrow at 275 feet per second, and it barely left a scratch. Incredible,” exclaimed Rogan.

During the discussion, Musk revealed plans for an exciting demonstration at the upcoming November 30 handover event. The demonstration would feature the Cybertruck enduring an entire Tommy Gun magazine of approximately 50 rounds, alongside shots from a 45mm shotgun and a 9mm gun.
However, Musk clarified that the Cybertruck’s windows were not bulletproof, citing the need for operational flexibility. He explained that making them bulletproof would require an impractical thickness that would render them immobile.
Nonetheless, he hinted at the possibility of optional bulletproof windows, asserting that the feat was achievable with the right measures. The specific details of whether Tesla would offer bulletproof windows as an optional feature or if they would be made available through vehicle armoring specialists remained somewhat ambiguous.
