Genesis Unveils Refreshed GV80 Lineup, Featuring Stylish GV80 Coupe Addition

Genesis has recently introduced its refreshed GV80 lineup, which includes the all-new GV80 Coupe, unveiled at the Genesis Suji showroom in South Korea. These models will be open for public viewing starting October 7th, and a U.S. showroom launch is expected in 2025.

The GV80 and GV80 Coupe showcase several significant improvements. In terms of exterior modifications, notable changes encompass a redesigned grille, updated lighting internals, and a revamped front fascia featuring larger intakes and a skid plate. The GV80 Coupe further distinguishes itself with visible exhaust tips and fresh wheel patterns and color options.

Moving inside, the GV80 boasts a cohesive 27-inch display unit that seamlessly integrates the digital instrument cluster and infotainment system. Additionally, it showcases refined interior touches such as pedals, wireless phone charging, cupholders, and an elegantly redesigned shifter. Buyers are presented with a choice of five interior colors and materials, including leather, aluminum, and wood.

The powertrains for the GV80 remain consistent, offering two options: a 2.5-liter turbo-4 engine generating 300 hp and a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V-6 with 375 hp. Meanwhile, the GV80 Coupe introduces a third powertrain choice, featuring an electric compressor integrated into the twin-turbo V-6, resulting in an impressive 408 hp output. This innovative technology effectively reduces turbo lag and enhances engine response at lower revs.

The GV80 Coupe incorporates distinctive sporty elements, such as a sound generator that replicates the exhaust note of high-displacement sports cars and Flex Brake, which enables personalized brake pedal responsiveness. The top-tier powertrain offers features like Launch Control, Sports+ drive mode, and an instrument cluster that provides essential data such as oil temperature, torque, and turbo pressure.
