Rimac Nevera shatters production EV Nurburgring lap record

The Rimac Nevera electric hypercar has recently gained widespread attention, thanks to the introduction of a limited-edition model known as the Nevera Time Attack. This exclusive vehicle has solidified its reputation as the fastest production electric car on the Nürburgring Nordschleife racetrack. Out of the twelve Time Attack models produced, one completed a lap around the 12.9-mile circuit in a record-breaking time of 7 minutes, 5.298 seconds, surpassing the Tesla Model S Plaid with Track Pack by 20 seconds.

The Nevera Time Attack also set a record on the 12.8-mile track, clocking in at 7 minutes, 0.928 seconds, with Croatian driver Martin Kodri? behind the wheel and Rimac verifying the timing data independently.

Notably, the Time Attack model doesn’t receive performance enhancements; it stands out with a unique paint and trim package. The record-setting vehicle features Squadron Black paint with Lightning Green accents and stripes, inspired by a meteorological phenomenon and a nod to the BMW M3.

The remaining eleven Time Attack models offer customization options, including paint finishes and highlight colors like Rimac Racing Red and Stiniva E-Blue. Inside, the cabin features black Alcantara upholstery with matching accents, “Time Attack” stitching on the seatbacks, and a “Time Attack: 1 of 12” plaque.

Under the hood, the Nevera packs four electric motors producing an astonishing 1,914 horsepower, setting records like the 0-60 mph time of 1.74 seconds and reaching 256 mph. It also conquered the Goodwood Festival of Speed hill climb in 49.32 seconds. The Nevera’s remarkable achievements continue to captivate the automotive world, showcasing its prowess in the electric hypercar arena.
