Up close with the wicked-sounding Golf R 400

A Volkswagen Golf R 400 has just been spotted on the streets of Vienna, Austria by viennasupercars.

Here’s a quick refresher: A 2.0-liter engine is the power behind the Golf R 400, delivering 395 horsepower and 332 lb.-ft. of torque backed by an automatic 6-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Those features help the Golf R 400 reach 62 mph from a standstill in an estimated 3.9 seconds and achieve an estimated top speed of 174 mph.

No word yet whether or not the car will be available in the U.S.
