The Swedish automaker’s new V60 sprints 0-62 mph in a hair under 5 seconds and will be sold in the U.S., Canada, the Netherlands, Switzerland and the United Kingdom when it arrives next year.
The S60 and V60 will be sold worldwide while in the UK only V60 Polestar will be available for purchase.
Volvo will roll out the bespoke edition of the new Volvo models with a Polestar Öhlins shock absorber system, new twin-scroll Borg Warner turbo, a 6-cylinder inline T6 engine with 2953 cc capacity that generates 350 hp at 5700 rpm.
The car produces 500 Nm output at 2,800-4,750 rpm and tops out at 6,500 rpm.
The 0-62 mph speed is 4.9 seconds; the car zooms 0-124 mph in 17.7 seconds and tops out electronically at 155 mph.
A new intercooler, Polestar 2.5-in stainless full-flow exhaust system with twin 3.5-inch tail pipes round out the trim of the car, which weighs 1822 kg.
On the transmission front, the vehicle sports WF21 automatic gearbox with paddle shift system Polestar transmission calibration for faster gearshifts, launch control and curve-hold functionality, Polestar Haldex calibration for more rear torque dynamic distribution and Polestar calibrated stability control system.
The V60 Polestar’s brakes in the front are Polestar/Brembo 6 piston brake calipers; 371×32 mm ventilated and floating Brembo discs. In the rear, it sports 302×22 mm ventilated discs.
