2014 Ford F-150 STX SuperCrew announced

Designed to give buyers additional entry-level and value-oriented options, Ford is adding the 2014 Ford F-150 STX SuperCrew and STX Sport Package to its line-up.

The STX is powered by a standard, 302-horsepower, 278 lb.-ft. of torque 3.7-liter V-6 engine, with EPA-estimated 17 mpg city and 23 mpg highway fuel economy. The 5.0-liter V-8 with 360 hp and 380 lb.-ft. of torque is also available to tow up to 9,500 pounds.

The STX joins the heavy-duty XL and XLT models and has upgraded exterior and interior features including body-color front bumper fascia, grille surrounds and front and rear step bumpers. An illuminated entry system and perimeter alarm plus 17-inch machined aluminum wheels are also standard.

The new STX Sport Package is available in all cab configurations and adds customized features such as 20-inch wheels, a black billet grille with body-color surround and black and gray piston cloth front seats.

Through July, Ford reports that a total of 427,935 Ford F-Series pickups have been sold, making it the best-selling truck in the U.S. for 36 consecutive years.

The 2014 Ford F-150 STX model lineup starts under $30,000 while the base price for the STX SuperCrew starts at $33,145 for the 4×2 version with 3.7-liter V-6 and $37,570 for the 4×4 with 5.0-liter V-8.
