2026 Toyota GR86 Yuzu Edition in Yellow Pays Tribute to Scion

Eleven years ago, Toyota’s FR-S, launched under the now-defunct Scion brand, introduced its first special edition, the Yuzu Yellow Release Series 1.0. With its TRD springs, black wheels, and distinctive design, it quickly became a standout. The 2026 GR86 Yuzu edition brings that history full circle, offering a modern twist on this iconic color and concept.

Draped in eye-catching Yuzu Yellow, the 2026 GR86 Yuzu sits lower on Sachs dampers, a key part of the Performance Package. This setup includes Brembo brakes with red calipers and matte-black 18-inch wheels. Inside, yellow perforations and stitching on the synthetic suede seats are complemented by yellow accents on the steering wheel, parking-brake handle, and door trim, completing the bold look.

Built on the Premium trim, this Yuzu edition adds a wealth of tech and luxury features, such as LED lighting, heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, and an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Power comes from a 228-horsepower 2.4-liter flat-four, paired with a six-speed manual or automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive.

With only 860 units slated for the U.S. market, the 2026 GR86 Yuzu edition will launch alongside the full 2026 lineup this fall. Expected to be priced in the mid-$30,000 range, this special edition echoes the 2014 Scion FR-S Release Series 1.0, which retailed for just over $30,000, destination included.
