Ford to Hike Prices July 5 on Three Mexico-Made Models Due to U.S. Tariffs

Ford is gearing up to adjust pricing on three of its Mexican-built models in response to newly imposed tariffs by the Trump administration targeting vehicles made outside the U.S. A Reuters report indicates these hikes will apply to units assembled after May 2, with pricing changes arriving post-July 4. Additionally, Ford will conclude its “From America, For America” employee pricing campaign around the same time.

Price hikes are slated for the Maverick, Bronco Sport, and Mustang Mach-E—all produced in Mexico. Ford claims the move reflects its routine mid-year pricing strategy, now amplified by incoming tariffs. A company spokesperson explained that customers won’t feel the full sting, as Ford intends to absorb some of the burden. Inventory produced before May 2 will keep current pricing, so shoppers still have time to act.

So far, Ford hasn’t disclosed official numbers. Reuters cited internal dealer notices that suggest increases nearing $2,000, although they didn’t pinpoint specific trims. Ford, meanwhile, referenced milder adjustments, such as $600 for one Bronco Sport variant and $700 for a Maverick with all-wheel drive. These restrained examples point to a more measured approach designed to maintain showroom interest.
