Infiniti’s $100k QX80 SUV redesign targets U.S. luxury competitors

In 2025, Infiniti reimagines the QX80, presenting a full-size SUV that competes fiercely with luxury counterparts. Despite its premium price tag starting at $84,445, the new model boasts enhanced aesthetics and features.

Derived from last year’s QX Monograph concept, the 2025 QX80 embodies a sleek design, featuring digital key-inspired daytime running lights. With cleaner surfaces and refined lines, it offers a modern interpretation while retaining signature elements like the front fender portholes.

Inside, Infiniti revolutionizes the QX80’s interior, blending digital screens seamlessly with traditional materials like leather and wood. The dashboard hosts dual 14.3-inch screens for the gauge cluster and infotainment, powered by Android with Google integration.

Complementing the interior tech, the 2025 QX80 offers optional features like a head-up display and camera monitors for improved visibility. Enhanced exterior visibility aids in tight parking and off-road maneuvers with the surround-view camera system.

Seating seven or eight passengers, the new QX80 promises increased knee space across all three rows and expanded cargo capacity. Standard features include a power tailgate and a premium Klipsch sound system.

Built on a body-on-frame platform, the 2025 QX80 boasts improved handling with an independent suspension and available air suspension. Standard 20-inch wheels can be upgraded to 22 inches.

Under the hood, a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6 engine delivers 450 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque, a significant upgrade from its predecessor. It offers a towing capacity of 8,500 pounds when properly equipped.

Infiniti offers the 2025 QX80 in Pure, Luxe, Sensory, and Autograph trims, with prices ranging from $84,445 to $112,590. All-wheel drive is optional for Pure and Luxe trims and standard for Sensory and Autograph.

Alongside the QX80, redesigned versions of Nissan’s Armada and Patrol are developed, sharing platforms and powertrains with the new Infiniti SUVs. This close relationship ensures consistency across the lineup.
