2025 Chevy Corvette ZR1 Sets Five Track Records in High-Performance Debut

Boasting an astonishing 1,064 horsepower and 828 lb-ft of torque, the ZR1 delivers a blistering 0-60 mph time of just 2.3 seconds, with a top speed of 233 mph. These performance figures highlight its raw power and precision, pushing the envelope for supercar engineering.

A pre-production ZR1 recently hit the road, shattering five track records at four renowned circuits. With the ZTK performance package, it flaunts a high-downforce rear wing, aggressive front lip, and front dive planes, paired with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires and recalibrated Magnetic Ride Control to sharpen its track prowess.

Track records were shattered as skilled engineers pushed the ZR1 to its limits. Bill Wise set a blistering pace at Watkins Glen with a 1:52.7 lap, while Brian Wallace set a new production record at Road America, clocking in at 2:08.6. Chris Barber claimed the production-car record at Road Atlanta, posting a time of 1:22.8.

At Virginia International Raceway, Aaron Link dominated both course layouts. With times of 1:47.7 and 2:32.3, Link eclipsed previous records, including the McLaren Senna’s 2:34.9 at the Grand Course during our Lightning Lap.

Pricing for the 2024 ZR1 starts at $174,995 for the 1LZ coupe and $185,995 for the 3LZ coupe, with convertibles adding $10,000. Sales begin this month, with production expected to commence in the spring.
