Cadillac unveiled the 2026 Escalade IQL with a starting price of $132,695

Cadillac unveiled the Escalade IQL this week, an extended version of the Escalade IQ electric full-size SUV. With a starting price of $132,695, including a $2,290 destination fee, the IQL is about $3,000 more than its regular IQ sibling, which debuted as a 2025 model. This longer model offers added luxury and enhanced space, targeting buyers who prioritize comfort without sacrificing capability.

Set to begin production this summer at GM’s Factory Zero in Detroit, the Escalade IQL will arrive for the 2026 model year. Buyers will have four trim options: Luxury, Sport, Premium Luxury, and Premium Sport. Pricing details for these trims remain under wraps, generating significant anticipation for further updates.

By stretching its rear end, the Escalade IQL removes the sharp roofline seen in the standard IQ. This design tweak, coupled with a reworked C-pillar, brings the IQL’s look more in line with the gas-powered Escalade. While it lacks the dramatic presence of the IQ, the extended rear boosts comfort for rear passengers and increases cargo space.

With imposing 24-inch wheels and 35-inch tires, the Escalade IQL demands attention on the road. Inside, it can seat up to seven, and the third-row passengers enjoy additional legroom—four extra inches—and an inch more headroom. A generous 12.2 cubic feet of storage space in the front trunk, or “frunk,” ensures practicality remains a key feature.

For those seeking a more luxurious experience, the Executive Second Row Package replaces the second-row bench with two captain’s chairs that offer heating, ventilation, and massage. This package also adds two 12.6-inch entertainment screens and a convenient center console, perfect for those who value comfort and tech during long trips.

Powered by the same 205-kwh electric powertrain as the Escalade IQ, the IQL supports DC fast charging, adding 116 miles of range in just 10 minutes. While exact range figures are still pending for the IQL, the regular Escalade IQ can achieve up to 460 miles on a full charge, making it a solid contender in the electric SUV market.

Dual-motor all-wheel-drive powers the Escalade IQL, delivering up to 750 horsepower in Velocity Max mode. This setup propels the vehicle from 0-60 mph in just 4.7 seconds. With a towing capacity of 7,500 pounds, the IQL strikes a perfect balance between performance and luxury, catering to those needing power and elegance.

Inside, a massive 55.0-inch digital display dominates the cabin. It combines a 35.0-inch digital instrument cluster and touchscreen with a 20.0-inch passenger screen, while an additional 11.0-inch screen manages vehicle settings and climate controls. This setup enhances the cabin’s futuristic feel, making it a tech-lover’s dream.

Standard features include a 21-speaker AKG sound system with Dolby Atmos, with an optional upgrade to a 38-speaker setup. Opting for the Executive Second Row Package increases the speaker count to 42, creating an extraordinary audio experience. Additional technologies, like Super Cruise, voice assistants, and bidirectional charging, elevate the overall experience of this high-tech electric SUV.
