Chevy reveals 450-mile range estimate for full-size Silverado EV Work Truck

Chevrolet announced on Friday that the Work Truck variant of the full-size Silverado EV has received an EPA estimate of 450 miles for its range on a full charge.

The Silverado EV will be manufactured at GM’s Factory ZERO, Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly Center. This facility has been repurposed and retooled with a $2.2-billion investment specifically for the production of electric vehicles.

Starting in 2023, the Silverado EV will be offered in different specifications. Upon its initial release, the WT model will have a range of 450 miles on a full charge. Shortly after, a WT model with an estimated range of 350 miles will also become available.

In the fall of 2023, the RST First Edition model will be introduced, featuring a 400-mile range and an MSRP of $105,000 plus DFC.

Following the initial launch, Chevrolet plans to expand the Silverado EV lineup. This will include additional models such as the Trail Boss, as well as the WT model with a starting MSRP of $39,900 plus DFC.

Customers will have the option to customize their truck based on their budget and requirements, with price ranges around $50,000, $60,000, $70,000, $80,000, and beyond. This flexibility allows individuals to select the Silverado EV that best fits their needs in terms of capability and pricing.
