Ford begins production of the 2015 Mustang

Ford has begun production of the 2015 Ford Mustang at its plant in Flat Rock, Michigan. The American automaker has invested $555 million to transform the Flat Rock Assembly Plant, adding a state-of-the-art body shop, three-wet paint process, dirt detection and laser brazing.

According to Joe Hinrichs, Ford president of The Americas, “Mustang is and will continue to be an automotive icon. Expanding its availability globally affords our customers around the world the opportunity to have a true firsthand Mustang experience – one unlike any other.”

The 2015 Ford Mustang goes on sale this fall in the United States, and in more than 120 countries next year.
