Toyota GR GT and Lexus LFA Successor Set for December 4 Global Reveal

Momentum around Gazoo Racing picked up again after a recent TV spot in Japan previewed its upcoming GR GT halo car. A new image followed today showing three vehicles in near darkness. Two taillight signatures are visible, confirming the GR GT and the Lexus LFA successor. Both models are set for a full reveal on December 4.

Attention shifts to Thursday at 9 p.m. ET, when Toyota will stream the debut of what it calls its all-new sports models. Anyone tracking this story since the GR GT3 Concept appeared at the 2022 Tokyo Auto Salon already has a sense of what is coming. Test mules for the LFA successor have been spotted in heavy camouflage, suggesting a twin-turbo V8 under a long hood.

More answers are expected that night, including the identity of the third vehicle shown in the teaser. Toyota has not confirmed anything, though a strong possibility is the GT3 race car planned to run alongside the LFA successor and the GR GT. All remaining details should come out later this week.
