Hyundai’s move to list new vehicles on Amazon began two years ago this month, with initial offerings landing on the site last December. Ford now follows that path by allowing dealers to post certified pre-owned models on Amazon. This approach broadens Ford’s online presence while still giving each store control of pricing and customer support as shoppers explore certified options from home.
Buyers get a simplified process that lets them browse, secure financing, and finalize a purchase through Amazon before arranging pickup at a local dealership. Shoppers can view inventory from participating Ford stores within a 75-mile radius, creating an easy entry point into available models. It delivers an experience that mirrors familiar online retail habits while adding guidance from nearby dealers.
Listings present itemized pricing, service and vehicle history, full specifications, and detailed condition reports. Each model undergoes a comprehensive inspection and earns a Gold, EV, or Blue certification. Gold applies to vehicles six years old or newer with fewer than 80,000 miles, paired with a 172-point inspection and a 12-month, 12,000-mile Ford Blue Advantage limited warranty.
EV certification uses a 127-point inspection while retaining the same age and mileage limits and identical warranty coverage. Blue certification covers Ford models and vehicles from other brands up to 10 years old with fewer than 150,000 miles. These cars complete a 139-point inspection and come with a 90-day, 4,000-mile limited warranty covering key components like the battery, electrical system, transmission, and engine.
Roadside assistance accompanies each sale, and every certified pre-owned vehicle listed by a Ford dealer on Amazon Autos includes a 14-day, 1,000-mile money-back guarantee. Early availability begins with dealers in Los Angeles, Seattle, and Dallas, giving those regions first access before additional markets join. It reflects a shift in how shoppers consider and select pre-owned vehicles.
Ford dealers can also offer extra services, including extended plans. A quick look at inventory within about 75 miles of Los Angeles shows a broad mix, featuring a 2018 Jeep Cherokee, a 2023 Chevrolet Suburban, a 2025 Hyundai Elantra, and several used Ford models. One standout is a 2019 Mustang Bullitt priced just under forty thousand dollars, illustrating the variety already taking shape.
