Fisker Ocean EV delivery commences: What you need to know

Fisker, the California-based electric car manufacturer, has announced the delivery of its Ocean compact electric crossover to its first customer. The delivery was made in Denmark, the birthplace of Henrik Fisker, the company’s CEO and founder, who personally handed over the vehicle to the customer.

For the Ocean electric crossover, the customer selected the Ocean One launch edition with a white exterior and matching interior, and equipped it with Fisker’s 22-inch AirGlider wheels in black.

Deliveries of the Ocean electric crossover will begin in the U.S. later this year after the completion of the certification process and the crash safety test program, which was announced by Henrik Fisker in April. Fisker expressed gratitude to reservation holders for their patience and excitement to bring the vehicles to customers.

As a 2023 model, the Ocean electric crossover will be available in the U.S. with a starting price of $37,499 for outright purchases. Fisker will also offer lease options with no fixed terms, starting from $379 per month, covering all maintenance and servicing, and with an allowance of up to 30,000 miles annually.

Three versions of the Ocean EV will be available: Sport, Ultra, and Extreme. The Sport variant features a front-wheel-drive configuration and a 275-hp electric motor, providing a range of 250 miles and a 0-60 mph acceleration time of 6.9 seconds.

The Extreme variant of the Ocean EV features a dual-motor system that provides 550 hp, allowing for a 0-60 mph acceleration time of 3.6 seconds and an anticipated range of 350 miles.
