BMW reveals details for 2024 i7 M70, its most powerful electric vehicle yet

At the Shanghai Auto Show, BMW has revealed their latest electric vehicle, the 2024 i7 M70 xDrive. This all-wheel-drive sedan boasts two electric motors and a 101.7-kilowatt-hour battery, delivering a combined output of 650 horsepower and 748 pounds-feet of torque in Sport mode. The torque output can reach up to 811 pounds-feet when M Launch Control or M Sport Boost modes are selected. The vehicle can go from 0 to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds and has a top speed of 155 mph.

As standard, the i7 M70 xDrive is equipped with an adaptive suspension, M Sport brakes, and 21-inch M alloy wheels. Additionally, it features Max Range mode, which limits certain car functions to conserve battery and optimize range. BMW predicts a range of 295 miles for this vehicle.

With its contour lighting, distinct side skirts, Shadowline trim, twin-stalk mirrors, and large rear diffuser, the i7 M70 xDrive’s exterior is striking. For further customization, BMW provides options like two-tone color combinations, Frozen matte paint finishes, and exterior colors reserved exclusively for the M lineup. On the inside, the car boasts BMW Operating System 8.5 with QuickSelect, featuring a home screen inspired by mobile devices, and BMW Maps with augmented reality navigation.

BMW’s Curved Display is another noteworthy feature of the i7 M70 xDrive, combining the digital instrument cluster and infotainment system into one cohesive unit. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also included as standard features. Overall, the 2024 i7 M70 xDrive is BMW’s most powerful electric vehicle to date, boasting impressive performance, design, and technology features.
