It offers a spacious and luxurious interior with seating for up to seven passengers, and comes equipped with a 12.3-inch touchscreen display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a panoramic moonroof, and various driver-assist features. The QX60 Monograph concept provided a glimpse into the car’s design, and the resulting 2022 QX60 is a stylish and sophisticated midsize SUV that is sure to compete in the luxury SUV market.

EXTERIOR/INTERIOR

Featuring the Grand Blue exterior colorway, the Infiniti QX60 Luxe AWD boasts a rich and deep blue shade that exudes both elegance and sportiness. With bold lines and an aggressive front grille, the car’s exterior design is sleek and modern, enhancing its overall appeal. Additionally, LED headlights and taillights are equipped to provide excellent visibility and lend a distinctive appearance to the vehicle.

One standout feature of the QX60 is the 12.3 inch Dynamic Meter Display, which provides the driver with a wealth of information at a glance, including vehicle speed, fuel level, and navigation directions. The display is easy to read and adds to the car’s modern and high-tech feel.

For a cost of $900, the Performance Audio Package offers the Bose Performance 17-Speaker Audio++ system that provides impressive sound quality in the entire cabin.

Overall, the Grand Blue and Graphite color combination of the Infiniti QX60 press car is a striking and sophisticated choice, and the car’s interior and exterior design, combined with its high-tech features and performance upgrades, make it a truly luxurious and desirable midsize SUV.

PERFORMANCE

Providing ample power, the 3.5-liter V-6 engine in the 2022 Infiniti QX60 boasts 295 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque, allowing the car to accelerate smoothly and quickly. It also offers plenty of low-end torque, which makes passing and merging on the highway a breeze.

Shifting smoothly and seamlessly, the 9-speed automatic transmission delivers quick and precise gear changes. It feels responsive and well-matched to the engine, providing drivers with a sporty driving experience that is both engaging and refined. Additionally, a manual shift mode is available for those who prefer more control over their gear changes.

In terms of handling, the QX60 is a capable and confidence-inspiring midsize SUV. The car’s suspension provides a comfortable and stable ride, with minimal body roll and good road feedback. The steering is responsive and well-weighted, and the car’s all-wheel drive system provides excellent traction and stability on a variety of road surfaces and in different weather conditions.

With a towing capacity of 6,000 pounds, the 2022 Infiniti QX60 Luxe AWD is an impressive performer when it comes to towing. This is an increase of over 1,000 pounds compared to the 2020 model year, making it even more capable and versatile for drivers who need to tow heavy loads.

FUEL ECONOMY

EPA rated at 20 mpg city and 25 mpg highway, the 2022 Infiniti QX60 with all-wheel drive offers good fuel efficiency. In comparison, the front-wheel drive model of the QX60 is rated slightly higher at 21 mpg city and 26 mpg highway. Overall, the combined fuel economy for both models is 22 mpg.

COMPETITION

Competing in the same market segment as other midsize SUVs such as the Acura MDX, Buick Enclave, and Cadillac XT6, the Infiniti QX60 is a luxury midsize SUV. These vehicles offer similar features and amenities such as three rows of seating, high-quality interiors, advanced safety and technology features, and capable powertrains. They all vie for the attention of customers seeking a comfortable and practical family vehicle that can also provide luxury and performance.

The 2022 Infiniti QX60 shares a similar platform to the 2022 Nissan Pathfinder, but it distinguishes itself with a higher price point and a more sophisticated interior. While the Acura MDX underwent a major redesign in the previous year and boasts advanced features and a sleek appearance, the QX60 was not produced during that time. The 2022 Buick Enclave has received updates such as enhanced safety features and a spacious cabin.

Resembling the Aviator’s silhouette, the QX60 has similarities with Lincoln’s three-row SUV. However, Lincoln’s offering boasts more extravagant interiors and advanced powertrain options, albeit at a higher cost. Although highly rated for safety, the Cadillac XT6 falls behind in terms of third-row seat functionality when compared to its competitors.
