Cayman GT4

Porsche is rolling out the Cayman GT4, the latest GT model in the two-seat, mid-engine Cayman coupe line. The new car is cued from the 911 GT3 – powered by a 3.8-liter engine with 385 hp also powering the 911 Carrera S.

The Cayman GT4 features a 6-speed manual transmission and runs from 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds, topping out at 183 mph. The car has remarkable fuel efficiency at 27.4 mpg. It sits 30 mm lower than the standard Cayman and its chassis and brake system are “fine-tuned” along the lines of the 911 GT3.

Currently on sale at the company’s UK and Ireland dealerships at prices starting at £64,451 – €119,594 in Dublin – the Porsche Cayman GT4 is slated to make its world debut in March at the Geneva International Motor Show and deliveries are expected in the summer.

The newest GT can be customized with PCCB ceramic brakes, shell-backed seats with carbon fiber reinforced plastic, as well as custom Sport Chrono Package or Club Sport Package.

With a lap time of 7 minutes 40 seconds around the Nürburgring, the Cayman GT4 is nothing to sneeze at – not to mention backs up Porsche’s stated promise to “continue to promote radical two-door sports cars.”
