Hobbyists build epic Lamborghini replica

Not everyone can afford a Lamborghini Sesto Elemento. In fact, barely anyone can afford a Lamborghini Sesto Elemento. So a few guys in the small area of Bishkek, Kirghizia had a solution: build their own. The crew managed to make a nearly spot on replica of the Sesto Elemento, despite the fact that they had no real model to base it off of. That’s right, they created an extremely accurate – and full size – replica based solely on pictures. And, the best part of it all, it only cost them $15,000, meaning they saved roughly $1,985,000.

To build the vehicle, they used the frame of a Volvo V70, the wheels of a BMW X5, and a bunch of acrylic, carbon steel, and medal.

There is, unfortunately, one rather large downside: the vehicle is for looks, only. While it looks just like the Sesto Elemento, it lacks the Lamborghini’s 570 hp V-10 engine that scoots to 60mph in just 2.5 seconds. In fact, the replica doesn’t even have an engine.

But it’s still impressive. It may not have the carbon fiber reinforced plastics in the body, or one of the world’s greatest power-to-weight ratios.   The aerodynamics may not be picture perfect, and it doesn’t have all-wheel drive.

But it does look just like a Lamborghini Sesto Elemento, which is a pretty incredible feat.
