Lamborghini Veneno live photos: 2013 Geneva Motor Show

Attendees at the Geneva Motor Show and the rest of us can only sallivate at the prospect of getting behind the wheel of the brand new Lamborghini Veneno. The super sports car has a whopping 3 million euro price tag yet three buyers have already planked down deposits – and await delivery. Outside of Lamborghini’s test vehicle on display in Geneva, these three are the only Venenos that Lamborghini plans to build in the near future.

Veneno, sleek and powerful, is appropriately named after a fighting bull who gored a torero to death in 1914. The Veneno sports a frame similar to the Aventador but weighs 275 pounds less and packs a powerful 6.5-litre V12 that produces 750 hp, allowing the street-legal Veneno to go from 0 to 100 mph in only 2.8 seconds and top out at speeds of over 355 km/h.

The Veneno’s exterior features a grey metallic pain with black trim. The test vehicle is emblazoned with three colors of the Italian flag while the other three cars that will be sold have one of the colors (forming a “trilogy,” as Lamborghini likes to call it).

The Veneno’s pretty beastly inside as it is out. Lamborghini has completely redesigned the instrument panel and added a G-meter. The arrow-shaped front end of the Veneno makes it stand out even more, while the Y chape headlamps and scissor doors won’t let you forget this is a Lamborghini.

So are the three big-spenders who will drive the Venenos? We’ll have to wait and see. Surely, they’ll be paparazzi fodder in no time.
