The 05’s body is made from RTM reinforced plastic with optional carbon fiber and features that include a flat underbody, front and lateral splitters, rear diffuser and rear spoiler. The car is powered by a 2-liter version of Ford’s award-winning DOHC turbocharged EcoBoost engine, which produces 285 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. The car clocks at 3.7 seconds in the 0-60 sprint and reaches top speed of 152 miles per hour. A six-speed manual transmission is included and a high ratio rack and pinion system handles steering.
The VUHL 05 will be available in the United Kingdom and North America starting at a retail price of £55,000 ($84,000). Orders are being accepted now, with delivery anticipated next spring. Various upgrades are available. For more information be sure to read our full preview here.
