Remember a few years ago when the Dodge Magnum was all the rage? While people have come to their senses and realized that station wagons aren’t sexy, auto companies still believe that they can get away with making station wagon-y cars.
Luxury automakers such as Mercedes and, from the looks of it, Jaguar, aren’t immune to what some are calling “shooting brake car designs.” A leaked photo of what appears to be a Jaguar F-TYPE Sportbrake had surfaced and it is … well, we’re still trying to find quite the right word to describe it.
For now, let’s just say the Jaguar F-TYPE Sportbrake is a curiosity, since whether it actually exists or not is still uncertain. Jaguar executive in charge of design, Ian Callum, didn’t offer much information to substantiate truth from fiction, according to Carhoots.
The UK website also guesses that the F-Type Sportbrake existence somehow surfaced at the F-TYPE launch in Spain when an engineer happened to let in on the secret.
For now, it looks like the leaked image of the Jaguar F-TYPE Sportbrake is all we have to go on.
