Lamborghini Sesto Elemento hits the market at $3.3 million

Lamborghini Sesto Elemento

The Lamborghini Sesto Elemento is as rare as they come and owning one is even a challenge to the well-heeled – with only 20 cars in production, delivered to Lamborghini’s preferred clients, rich folks who wanted one badly probably couldn’t buy their way in without calling in some favors.

Now, the opportunity has come up for any member of the 1 percent to scoop one of these fine Italian beasts. Just pony up $3.3 million – the asking price of the designated middleman selling the car on behalf of its anonymous owner – and it’s all yours. While the price tag exceeds that of a Bugatti, the buyer will surely be getting a trophy supercar. The Sesto Elemento is extremely lean, extremely fast and extremely exotic. At just north of 2,200 pounds, its 5.2-liter V-10 and all-wheel drive generate 570 hp that translate to 0-60 time of 2.5 seconds. The Sesto Elemento’s interior is stripped down, further emphasizing this is a rare beast you pull out of the garage to brag to friends.

According to Yahoo! Autos, the Sesto Elemento – Italian for “sixth element,” a reference to the atomic number of carbon, the component used for the body of the supercar to be as light as possible – was first unveiled as a concept car at the Paris auto show five years ago. Lamborghini then decided to manufacture 20 units, according to 6speedonline forum, with only the crème of the Italian automaker’s most favored clientele able to even have access to obtain one.

Just who is selling this particular Sesto Elemento is not clear and probably will never be revealed due to the privacy surrounding such high-profile transactions. All that we know is that the listing appears legit and was posted by a user named “Hayabusa” on a forum, with several pictures. This particular Lamborghini Sesto Elemento only has 12 miles on the odometer – meaning it is brand spanking new.
