Lexus taps into race future with LF-LC GT Vision Gran Turismo

LF-LC GT Vision Gran Turismo

The next great race car concept from Lexus is coming to a PlayStation 3 near you this spring. Gran Turismo announced the LF-LC GT “Vision Gran Turismo” will be offered as a free update in the upcoming release of Gran Turismo 6.

The luxury coupe concept LF-LC was designed by Calty Design and implements edgy features such as tail-lights that resemble a jet’s afterburners. The vision for the car was first laid out in by Lexus at the 2012 Detroit Motor Show and meshes real-world Lexus racing with the popular video game franchise.

The LF-LC GT Vision Gran Turismo is for genuine fans of Gran Turismo who are looking to be wowed – and this concept’s white exterior is accented with colorful brush strokes to drive the point home. Lexus is looking to capitalize on its 2014 race season, in which the new RC F GT500 was competitive in the Super GT GT500 Class. Lexus is planning to enter the RC F GT3 into the GT3 category this year.

The goals for the LF-LC GT Vision Gran Turismo are lofty: Lexus says it envisions the car eventually taking part in the Super GT and Nürburgring 24 hour races.
