Lexus envisions future with LF-C2 Concept

Bigger and bolder design seems to be what Lexus has in store in its luxury sedans of the future – at least that’s the indication from the LF-C2 concept making its global debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show this week.

The exterior of the 2+2 roadster was purposely designed to impress from different viewing angles and lighting conditions, finished in what Lexus refers to a “layered paint process.” The car’s open-air design channels a sports coupe’s breeziness.

The LF-C2 sports a arrow-shaped body, highly stilized with a front fascia that stands out over even other impressive Lexus’ signature grilles. The braided mesh construction shows off Lexus’ attention to detail and dazzles under different lighting as it sits between the signature triangle-shaped LED headlights.

The back of the LF-C2 is also unmistakably Lexus with L-shaped tail lights and a new rear diffuser design. Five-spoke 20-inch allow wheels complete the grandiose concept, which is painted golden yellow.

The interior matches the sleek theme, showing off Lexus’ interpretation of luxury in the future with a center console that runs from the rear deck to the the dashboard. The elegance of instrument cluster is matched with a central video monitor controlled via a remote touchpad. White-and-gray leather and LED lights further accentuate the luxurious ambiance of the Lexus LF-C2, which measures in at 185.6 inches in length, 72.4 inches in width and 54.5 inches in height.
