Vin Diesel gifts a Dodge Challenger to Dubai royalty

Add ‘brand marketer’ to Vin Diesel’s resume. Following the Abu Dhabi filming of “Fast and Furious 7,” he gifted a black 2014 Dodge Challenger to the Arab emirate’s princess, Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

The princess posted a photo of the car on her Instagram, according to Business Insider via Arabian Business.

She was very appreciative, sharing on the social media website: “Thank you @vindiesel for this wonderful gift, it was a great pleasure meeting you and your family.” Diesel also included signed mementos.

The 2014 Dodge Challenger comes with either a standard 3.6L Pentastar V-6, which produces 305 hp and 268 lb.-ft. of torque, or a 5.7L Hemi V-8 that whips up to 375 hp and 410 lb.-ft. A massive 6.4L V-8 is optional on SRT Core and SRT 392 models. Retail price starts at $26,495, with the top of the line SRT Core models retailing at $40,685.

Diesel’s ‘Fast and Furious’ character, the outlaw Dominic Torretto, has become associated with the Challenger. No word on whether Chrysler was involved in donating the car or if Diesel paid for it out of his own pockets.
