Chevrolet celebrates the 60th anniversary of the Corvette in style

Chevrolet, a division of General Motors, has introduced the 2014 Corvette Stingray Premiere Edition to commemorate the iconic sports car’s 60th anniversary, as well as the upcoming launch of the seventh generation. It’ll be a limited-production model that will be produced at the also-iconic Bowling Green, Kentucky assembly plant, where it also debuted.

The Corvette Stingray Premiere Edition will feature a Laguna Blue Tintcoat exterior over a Brownstone suede interior. Other exterior features include a “stinger” hood stripe and “Stingray” logo wheel caps. That same logo extends into the interior on the sill plates, and out back, custom Corvette branded luggage, courtesy of Thule. It should be adequate for a long weekend getaway for two.

Additional features include:

  • Optional suede and carbon-fibre interior trim packages
  • Visible carbon-fibre roof
  • Variable-tuned performance exhaust system
  • Z51 Performance Package with Magnetic Selective Ride Control

To top it all off, the Premier Edition models will come with a unique vehicle identification number that will start with the number 300001, as well as an exclusive dash plaque that will celebrate the special edition. No word as of yet, in regards to pricing or availability, but stay tuned…
