It had to happen eventually: First C7 Corvette accident on the books!

Remember my previous article about the all-new C7 Corvette? It seems that once a sports car debuts to the public, it’s only a matter of time before someone wrecks it.

But it’s rare that the first accident occurs before the vehicle is available to buy at your local dealership!

It appears that this was an one-car accident that occurred in Arizona, while travelling with other C7s in what could have been some last-minute testing before production begins later this year. The scrapes on the side of the Vette isn’t a new optional graphics package, but rather it suggests that the vehicle slammed into the guardrail on the opposite side of the road, before ultimately landing up against the rocks. No word as to who was the driver of the vehicle.

Other details remain mum at this point, but we’ll be following this story. Stay tuned…
